A little Wood monster
This monster used to eat children in the woods. Until this one particular child decided that it was time to change things, and once eaten, took control of the monster's body...
And now, they hunt in the woods together and he fake cries to attract their next preys....
The Bumblebee Keeper
She is in fact more of a moving bumblebeehive than a keeper. She takes care of a gigantic flower garden in the park of a little castle in the country. She can no longer really fly with her wings, but still, she loves the feeling of the wing blowing in them, so she decided to keep them instead of cutting them off. In the pocket of her costume, she keeps her tools to take care of both the garden and the bumblebees. She drew all the motifs herself, one row at a time.
Her full costume allows bumblebees to stay warm during the winters and she fills the big bubbles with nectar and pollen to feed all the bumblebees. The bumblebees seem attracted to her, they like to hide and play in her furry hair and dancing all around her. They constantly clumsily bump into her, and she feels their soft wings on her cheeks. Sometimes, the buzzing sound is so strong that she can’t really hear herself think at all.
She keeps the two bumblebees that love her the most tied on a string because they didn’t want to fly away in a gust of wind. When she goes home, she unties them and they are free to leave whenever they want, but during the day, if they want to accompany her, she ties them up to her fingers while she works in the garden, surrounded by flowers.
This is the first concept for this little guy. The idea was to create a boy with a mushroom head, but ready to fry one of his pal for dinner. A very blasé kind of person.
This was a little practise for fur that also celebrated my love for drag queens make up.
Trees hybridations
These are really quick sculpts I did on Zbrush in order to explore different design options for our graduation movie, where we had to imagine creatures that were half way between a deer and a tree. As we rewrote the original pitch to a more serious story, those gooffy and funny options were put aside and we chose to make them a lot more majestic appearance.
